So what is a website?
A website is a collection of related pages that can include text, images, videos and more.
Recently, some websites consist of only one page that has different sections.
More commonly, a website would have multiple pages each with specific content, like about the company, product or services, etc.
These pages are available on the internet and is publicly viewable using a web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, etc.

Types of websites
There are many type of websites. Broadly websites fall into one of the following types:
A business website is one that contains information about the company, the product or services that it provides.
Some business websites also provide a way for customers to purchase their product.
An e-Commerce website is specifically targeted at selling products on the internet. It provides details about each product, price, shipping, as well as a payment gateway that allows a customer to make payment.
Then there are websites that share content, such as articles. These can be about a person, news, articles on how to, etc.
For example, you could set up a website to share recipes, or create a portfolio to highlight your work.
